Post by: iitgbim on October 10, 2012, 11:28:59 AM
Hi

I am using sparger as velocity inlet of air. Now I ma facing problem in gas holdup diagram. It shows that the whole container is filled with gas. Please suggest me how to set gas outlet condition in fluent (I have tried with top level with pressure outlet). Please suggest me.

What is your inlet boundary condition?
Make sure that the pressure at the outlet face is smaller than upstream pressure.

You can set mass outflow as the outlet boundary condition if you don't have backflow at the outlet.

Air is sparged through inlet boundary, which is below the impeller. Please suggest me how to set mass outflow at the top.
