Title: Boiling calculations with an energy model for the vapour
Post by: pitney1 on May 12, 2012, 11:43:21 AM
Hi,

If either the Thermal Energy model or the Total Energy model is used for the vapour in a calculation using the RPI boiling model, then temperatures of the vapour phase are incorrect, being potentially either unphysically low or occasionally unphysically high.

Help!

This may be due to an energy source term being included twice. The problem can be ameliorated by setting the Nusselt number on the zero resistance side to a high value. It is however better to set the vapour to be isothermal.
